Coming from theatrical background, it is by visual creation that Onira pursues the study of the relationship between her body with tje medium in a process going back and forth between the manual graphite pencil line and digital manipulation of the image.
Her compositions are born from a search on drawing as sculptural volume related to an imaginary of living. A gesture of repetitive hatching creates a texture material-which its superimposed traces bring out organic forms, between animal and mineral.
Graduated from a Master in Fine Arts in 2015, Onira Lussier is the recipient of many prizes and grants. In 2016, she receives the Prize of Excellence of the Salon du design of Montreal (2016) and she was selected for a residency in Norway. Her work has been mainly exhibited in Canada and Norway.
