Jean-Claude Poitras has woven a remarkable body of work since 1972 and has established himself as an iconic figure and reference in the design world. A multidisciplinary artist, fashion designer, consultant lecturer, columnist and spokesperson, he continues his bold and visionary artistic journey out of the ordinary.
His collections have marched down catwalks of the world and earned him international recognition with a multitude of prestigious awards including the Moda Del Amo (California), the Fil d’or (Monte Carlo), the Arc Award (Toronto) and the Griffe d’or (Montréal).
In 2012, he celebrated his forty years of creation, and revealed his artistic soul by showing a first solo exhibition at the Roccia gallery in Montréal. Since then, he continues to create intoxicating artworks, so light and clean they seem to ascend the media with which they are created. This artist continues to reinvent himself and to show us a multitude of unique talents that celebrate timeless beauty.
“I have a story to tell, a legacy to leave, and a body of work to continue…”
